2009 was a safe year for the port of Rotterdam, during which important steps were taken to guarantee safety and order even further. It was with this conclusion that Jaap Lems presented the nautical annual results for the port of Rotterdam from his ‘cabin’ on the eighteenth floor of the World Port Center, for the last time.
