New Zealand signs convention to manage deep sea fish stocks

New Zealand has a new convention to manage non-highly migratory fisheries in the South Pacific Sea. The convention aims to manage deep sea fish stocks and pelagic species in a sustainable manner. By contrast, highly migratory species (such as tuna) are managed by the Western and Central Fisheries Commission (WCPFC).
