The Port of Gothenburg reports lower freight volumes in 2009, compared to 2008. However, a recovery was noted during the second half of the year. Around 504,000 ro-ro units were handled in 2009, a drop of 19 per cent compared to the previous year. Approximately 818,000 TEUs passed through the port last year, which is five per cent down on the year before.
