The China Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation (COOEC) has taken delivery of the first Chinese designed and built pipelayer. Built by Zhenhua Heavy Industry, the ‘Hai Yang Shi You 202’ will be able to perform heavylift operations of up to 1,200 tonnes and install offshore pipelines in up to 300 metres depth.
