The French Development Agency (AFD) signed an agreement with the Bank of Mozambique in late June to grant US$2.1 million to Mozambique to develop its prawn aquaculture sector.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Governor of the bank, Ernesto Gove, said that the agreement would encourage the production of one of Mozambique’s most important export products.
