China: CEO of Transpetro Visits COSCO Shipyard Group

In August, Mr. Ma Zhihong, Party Secretary of the COSCO Shipyard Group, warmly welcomed Mr. Sergio Machado, CEO of Petrobras Transporte SA (Transpetro), who visited COSCO Nantong Shipyard to attend the naming ceremony of the 59,000DWT shuttle tankers. Mr. Ni Tao, G. M. of COSCO Nantong Shipyard, Mr. Zhu Zhihong, Party Secretary of COSCO Nantong Shipyard, and Mr. Xu Dongxiao, Executive Director of the Commercial HQ of the COSCO Shipyard Group, participated in the meeting.

Since 2009, the profound friendship of the largest shipowner of Latin America and COSCO Shipyard has been enriched over time as mutual cooperation continues to expand. Mr. Sergio Machado described how highly he valued our offshore service products such as the deep-sea cylindrical semi-sub rig, 105,000DWT shuttle tankers and 59,000DWT shuttle tankers, as well as our strong abilities in ship repair and conversion. The two sides also discussed and exchanged views on the current status of the offshore and shipping markets.
